A Mother's Love
With Mother's Day just passing I wanted to take a look back at the amazing journey we've been on since the birth of our daughter Amelia. I never could have imagined what joy could be brought to us, but can hardly remember what it was like before her. I have more respect and admiration for mothers now since I've become one myself, and only hope to be the best mother possible for Amelia! I hope that in the years to come we can be friends but most of all she knows that I will always be her mother in every way-to soothe her tears, share her joys, uplift her spirit, listen to her, watch her, protect her, and so much else a mother does. Here are a few pictures of Amelia and me...

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommy's I know and enjoy every second with you little ones!!

It's been a while since our last post so we've got lots of updates. It seems like every day we get closer to Amelia's first birthday just gets faster and faster. I don't know why but here lately she has seemed like such a big girl! She has gotten much better at using her sippy cup by herself, feeds herself finger foods (still eats ANYTHING), and is getting so curious! She loves to walk while holding our hands, pushes her push toy all around the house, and creeps around all of our furniture and even the walls and windows, but she just won't let go for anything! It's so funny-I'm certainly not rushing anything-I know she'll be walking soon enough and she'll be even less of a baby.

Amelia was so excited to ride in her big girl car seat for the first time!

Our Little Monkey
Yesterday we got to go to the park for the first time! Amelia loves to swing and go down the slide! She is just like her Mommy though because she couldn't take her eyes off of everyone else there! (We're gonna drive Daddy crazy with our "people-watching" haha).
Our little angel has recently become our little monkey as well! She is into everything-and usually on top of it! It is definitely getting more interesting trying to keep up with her and I know it will just get harder once she starts walking! It seems like half the pictures I get these days are of her back because she's constantly climbing on something-haha! Here's Amelia on her "sitting" toy:
Hey what are they doing?
Happy Belated Easter:)
Happy Belated Easter! We finally get to post some Easter pictures too:) Amelia had a great first Easter and we had a great time too! The Sunday before Easter Amelia had her very first easter egg hunt at our church. Since she's not crazy about the grass she didn't seem too thrilled about picking things up out of it either-hilarious! But she did enjoy her basket afterwords and got to meet the easter bunny himself! On Easter Sunday we had a delicious lunch at Chris' parents house and of course another easter egg hunt, which went about like the first (except colder). I'm sure next year she'll really get it! We are truly thankful for the sacrifice Jesus paid for us and grateful for the blessings he has given us!

Finally we're back!
Yeah-we finally have our computer and internet fixed! It's been an ordeal! Our computer had a virus (or likely multiple viruses) so we had it formatted (i.e. completely swiped clean and started new) which created problems all on it's own. However then our internet decided not to work as well so they had to come move our tower (where it's right in front of my kitchen window in the way of my lake view!). Finally the computer and internet made friends again and we are reconnected to the world wide web!
On a better note Amelia is 11 months old today! I can't believe that she will be a year old in only four short weeks! Here are some pictures that our friend Jennifer took for us a few weeks ago!

Happy Birthday Mommy!
Last week was my 26th birthday on 3.24.09. I had to work day shift that day (doing c-sections in the OR by the way-not my idea of fun!!). So I wasn't expecting anything special in the way of celebrating the occasion. My wonderful husband had a different idea however and was so sweet as to send me flowers at work! He was even at home from work not feeling good that day because he had just had his eye surgery the day before-so thoughtful! When I got home from work he had cooked supper for us and baked me some birthday brownies (he knows the love I have for chocolate!), and my mother-in-law ate with us. After supper we went outside and I found my birthday gift from Chris and his family-the new table and chairs for our back patio! I love it!
Amelia loved the new table too!
After working all week we went out on Saturday night to eat at Cheeseburger In Paradise with Chris' family and a couple friends. We had a good time dispite the fire alarms that kept alarming and the storms coming near-LOL! I don't usually get too excited about my birthday but this year I had a great one! I think I just had so much to be thankful for this year-a thoughtful husband and family, and an amazing beautiful daughter-it's hard not to appreciate it! I haven't really gotten to the point of dreading my birthday yet, I know that 26 isn't that old and I pray I have so many more years ahead. I can't even imagine what those years will hold-especially looking at what I have in just this short time! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and for making my life so great!

Brookie Boo Turns Two!
This past weekend was our niece and goddaughter Brooke's second birthday! She had a great birthday party at Grandma's house and all the kids had a great time! The hit of the party was the playhouse that Grandma and Grandpa got Brooke-all of the kids absolutely loved it! Even though it took Brookie a minute to figure things out, eventually she, her sister Allison, and their cousins Katelynn and Averie all piled into the little house-they were so cute!
Amelia finally got to check things out for herself!
Alli cheesing;)
Brooke's so proud of her house;)
We had a great day at the party, but later that day Amelia started running a fever still had it Sunday, and Monday so we went to the pediatrician Monday. The doctor said she thinks it's just a viral infection right now and it should get better in a few days-we hope that's all it is! Amelia has felt so bad and been so pitiful-she just wants Mommy to hold her all the time and of course I'd do anything to make her feel better! Monday afternoon she's looked alot better and her fever's down for now so hopefully it's almost over. Chris had his eye laser surgery Monday also so he was feeling terrible for a few hours as well but hopefully all will be well in the Wolsiefer house on Tuesday!
